Process Workflow
& Ratification
Welcome, OSD Conference delegates. STAN-WORKS removes the process barrier so every domain expert can contribute to NATO standardisation – without knowing the procedural rules.
Example figures from a single organisation — STAN-WORKS scales to virtually unlimited standards, votes & domains.
Process knowledge is a barrier
Standards developers know their domain but not internal procedures. Valuable expertise is lost.
Email-based coordination
Ratification votes, comments and decisions are scattered across email threads – no single source of truth.
No visibility of progress
Which document is under review? Which vote is closing – and when? Impossible to see without asking.
Fragmented collaboration
Experts across 32+ nations with no shared working environment. Joining takes months of learning.
One principle.
One platform.
If you know your subject, you can contribute.
You don't need to know the process.

TraCert at the Conference on Online Standards Development for NATO
On 16 June 2026, TraCert joined the NATO Standardization Office in Brussels for the Conference on Online Standards Development (OSD) for NATO, bringing together standardization leaders to explore how NATO's standards can be developed online: faster, more collaborative, and fully traceable from first draft to final approval.
NATO standardization spans many working groups and nations, with drafting, review, and approval still handled largely through documents and email. It's rigorous, but slow, and difficult to trace end to end.
TraCert presented STAN-WORKS, our collaborative platform for writing, reviewing, balloting, and approving standards, purpose-built to bring the entire development process into one connected, online workspace.
A panel of standardization experts discussed the path toward online standards development for NATO, with live audience questions running throughout the session.
Standards development is moving online. STAN-WORKS is the platform built to take it there.
